What is PhotoReading?

PhotoReading is a whole-mind reading system developed by Paul R. Scheele of Learning Strategies Corporation. It uses five steps: Prepare, Preview, PhotoRead, Postview and Activate, to help you get what you need from written material in less time.

Who invented PhotoReading?

Paul R. Scheele developed PhotoReading in 1985 in response to a request for accelerated learning training from IDS/American Express. Public classes began in Minnesota in January 1986.

Is PhotoReading the same as speed reading?

No. Speed reading trains your eyes to move faster along lines of text. PhotoReading uses a relaxed, soft gaze to take in whole pages at about one page a second, followed by activation techniques to draw out what you need.
